SUSAN ZHEJUN TAN
Susan Zhejun Tan specializes in corporate law, securities law, and commercial transactions. She regularly advises clients on regulatory reporting requirements and securities compliance. She has advised on a number of merger and acquisitions transactions and is experienced in helping clients arrange IPO and private placement transactions.
Ms. Tan enjoys native fluency with PRC law, having received her first law degree in China. Ms. Tan has a wide range of experience in foreign direct investment, merger and acquisitions transactions, taxation, foreign exchange and labor matters. Among her more significant engagements, she has advised on the reorganization of Pfizer and Pharmacia’s Chinese operations in connection with their global merger, and assisted the Dover Corporation and Gates Corporation in establishing their Chinese subsidiaries. Ms. Tan has also represented many large corporations such as General Motors Shanghai, Carrefour China and Moeller Electronics, on their corporate matters.
Prior to joining Exeter, Ms. Tan worked at DLA Piper’s New York office in the Corporate and Finance Group, Coudert Brothers’ Shanghai Office and the Shanghai Foreign Economic Relations and Trade Committee.
Ms. Tan earned her J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law. She also holds an LL.M. in Banking, Corporation, and Finance Law from Fordham and an L.L.B. from Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade School of Law. Ms. Tan is qualified in New York and the People’s Republic of China.
